This hand-knotted Persian Gabbeh is crafted by the Qashqai people from the Shiraz region of Persia.
It is made from the finest quality wool, superior to regular Gabbeh, with a dense and intricate weave that embodies the Fine quality.
The base colors feature natural undyed wool in shades of beige, brown, and ivory, complemented by warm pink accents.
The design of a lion holding a sword, with the sun peeking from behind, was previously used in the Persian national flag.
With its compact size of Approx. 40cm x 40cm, this Gabbeh is perfect for those seeking a smaller lion rug.
Features of Lion Gabbeh
Lion Gabbeh is a rug woven by the nomadic Qashqai tribe in southwestern Iran, characterized by its unique design featuring lions as a motif. The lion has long been incorporated as a symbol of "strength" and "wisdom".
Woven from high-quality wool, it has a thick, fluffy texture and a soft, cushioned finish, making it comfortable to use year-round, keeping warm in winter and cool in summer.
What is Kashkuli
Kashkuli is considered the highest quality of Gabbeh, woven by the finest weavers of the Qashqai tribe. It is characterized by a higher density than regular Gabbeh, featuring intricate designs due to its finely woven, high-density fabric.

Maintenance
Please pay attention to the following points to keep your rug in good condition for a long time.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Gently vacuum along the pile and avoid the fringes.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Please be careful not to rub.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the luster.
