This is a handwoven Persian rug made of silk, crafted in Qom, located about 100 kilometers south of Tehran, the capital of Iran. It was woven at the Babai Workshop.
The rug features a Heshti pattern (panel design, window frame) predominantly in brown. Within the window frames, traditional motifs such as flowers and boteh patterns, inspired by lush and beautiful gardens, are intricately woven.
As each rug is handwoven by skilled artisans, no two pieces are identical.
Additionally, handwoven rugs have a directionality in the pile, known as 'nap' and 'reverse nap.' The appearance of color shades changes depending on the direction in which the rug is laid, so please compare photos 5 and 6 for a better understanding.

Maintenance
To maintain good condition for a long time, please pay attention to the following points.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Vacuum gently along the pile and avoid the fringes.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb moisture. Please avoid rubbing.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain color and luster.
