This rug is a silk piece hand-knotted at the Yadidi Workshop in Kashan, located in central Persia, between Isfahan and Tehran.
Compared to rugs made in Qom, Kashan silk rugs are characterized by their lighter color tones.
This rug features white as the main color, combined with elegant and subdued shades of light green, blue, and beige. In the center, there is a medallion from which intricate floral patterns radiate outward.
Woven from 100% silk, it has an exceptionally smooth texture and a beautiful sheen.
Hand-knotted rugs have a direction of pile known as “front” and “back,” which affects how the colors appear depending on the laying direction. Please compare the third and fourth photos for a better understanding.

- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the luster.
