This rug is a silk piece woven by hand at the Yadidi Workshop in Kashan, located between Isfahan and Tehran in central Persia.

Compared to rugs made in Qum, Kashan silk rugs are characterized by lighter color tones.

This rug features white as the main color, complemented by soft greens, blues, and beiges, creating an elegant and calm color palette. The central medallion is surrounded by intricate arabesque patterns woven outward.

Woven from 100% silk, it has an incredibly smooth texture and a beautiful luster finish.

Handwoven rugs have a direction of pile flow known as 'nap' and 'reverse nap', which affects how color intensity appears depending on the laying direction. Please compare the third and fourth photos for a better understanding.

Maintenance

Please pay attention to the following points to keep your rug in good condition for a long time.

Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Gently vacuum along the pile and avoid the fringes.
If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Please be careful not to rub.
Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the luster.
