This is a hand-knotted Persian rug crafted in Tabriz, located in the northwest of Persia.
The base color features a blend of red and deep pink, resulting in a beautifully calm and elegant rug. It is made from a rare wool known as cork wool, which can only be harvested in small quantities from the neck area of lambs. To enhance the three-dimensionality of the patterns, fine white silk is used around the intricate designs.
The design showcases the traditional Mahi pattern, which means fish in Persian. Additionally, a medallion design resembling blooming flowers is woven in the center, with an exceptionally fine weave that truly qualifies as a work of art. The surface pile is short, providing excellent durability.
Moreover, floral patterns are woven into the white area between the rug and the fringe, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in this exquisite piece.
Hand-knotted rugs have a directional flow of the fibers, known as 'with the nap' and 'against the nap', which affects the perception of color intensity depending on the direction in which the rug is laid.

Please pay attention to the following points to keep your rug in good condition for a long time.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Gently vacuum along the pile and avoid the fringes.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture. Please be careful not to rub.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the pile with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the luster.
