Herati

The Herati rug is characterized by its unique small geometric patterns, featuring a diamond-shaped center adorned with small flowers or rosettes, surrounded by leaves that resemble fish. This fish-like leaf shape is sometimes referred to in Persian as "Mahi," meaning "fish."

This geometric design is evenly repeated throughout the rug, particularly emphasized in the border, maintaining an overall balance. Additionally, there are no specific regulations regarding the color palette of Herati rugs, allowing each piece to reflect the artisan's sensibility and individuality.
