Rajabian Workshop

The Rajabian Workshop was established in 1933 by the late Haji Yadollah Rajabian. It is currently operated by the second generation, Abolfazl Rajabian. Mr. Abolfazl has taken over the workshop from his father and plays a significant role in the production and export of Persian carpets.

This workshop is particularly renowned for its silk carpets from Qom. The carpets from the Rajabian Workshop are characterized by their exquisite finish achieved through hand dyeing and hand weaving using natural dyes. The carpets feature intricate details and rich colors, incorporating many traditional Persian designs. Notably, high-quality carpets are produced using plant-dyed threads.

The designs showcase a variety of motifs, including landscapes, traditional Persian floral patterns, and religious scenes. For example, there are carpets depicting ducks swimming in rivers, birds flying in the sky, and flowers and trees along riverbanks.

At the top or bottom of the carpet, it is signed in Persian (Farsi) as "Rajabian Abolfazl," which serves as proof of authenticity. This signature is inscribed in Persian as "راجبیان ابوالفضل" and is placed within the decorative border (cartouche) of the carpet.

The carpets from the Rajabian Workshop boast exceptional quality, a long history, and a rich tradition. They are often recognized as valuable works of art that are passed down through generations.
