This hand-knotted rug is crafted in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
The base color is a deep blue with hints of green.
It features a beautiful geometric pattern characteristic of Pakistani rugs.
The diamond shapes arranged in the center are known as Jaldar patterns, said to be inspired by the mouth of a dragon.
The weaving technique varies depending on the region and material, but the main characteristic of hand-knotted rugs is the method of tying the weft threads to the warp threads.
This rug has 12 warp threads and 24 weft threads per square inch, making it the highest quality among the three main grades of Pakistani rugs. Due to its intricate weaving, the pile is short and densely packed, resulting in a fine and beautiful pattern.
What is Fine Quality?
Fine quality is a high-density Pakistani rug finished with a higher weaving density than regular Pakistani rugs.
Woven with a high knot density of 12×24, it features a significantly finer weave compared to standard Pakistani rugs (9×16).
Made from 100% New Zealand wool, the pile is trimmed short to create a refreshing texture and a clean appearance.
Due to its dense weave, it is resistant to dirt and dust, making it very durable and easy to care for. The delicate and intricate patterns can be expressed clearly without losing their outlines.
With a short and sturdy pile, it can be safely used in dining areas with frequent chair movement or places where tables and furniture are placed.

Maintenance
To keep in good condition for a long time, please pay attention to the following points.
- Regular vacuuming is sufficient for rug care. Gently vacuum along the nap and avoid the fringed areas.
- If liquid is spilled, gently blot with a dry cloth to absorb moisture. Please be careful not to rub.
- Once a year, lightly wipe along the nap with a tightly wrung towel to maintain the color and luster.
