This is a hand-woven Persian carpet made in Tabriz in northwestern Persia.
Tabriz is one of the major cities of Persia and the capital of East Azerbaijan Province.
The base color is black, which combines a calm atmosphere with elegance, and it uses rare cork wool, which can only be obtained in small quantities from the neck of a lamb.
In addition, silk is used around the pattern so that it sparkles and creates a three-dimensional effect when light hits it.
The design is a "mahi" pattern, which means "fish" in Persian. The weave is very fine, so not only is the pattern beautiful, it's like a work of art.
The pile is short, which increases the durability of the carpet. The unique "with grain" and "against grain" of hand-woven carpets means that the hair flows in a certain direction, and the color tone changes from any direction, allowing you to enjoy a variety of expressions.
