Hamadan

Hamadan is a traditional rug-producing area located approximately 300 km west of Tehran (the capital), around the Zagros Mountains in western Iran.

The term "Hamadan" refers to the rugs woven in numerous villages surrounding Hamadan (such as Tuyserkan and Malayer).

Each village has its own unique weaving traditions, showcasing a wide variety of designs and color palettes.

The knots are primarily Turkish knots, and a significant characteristic is the single weft structure, where one weft thread is passed through. The knot density ranges from approximately 100,000 to 250,000 knots per square meter.

This is a tribal Persian rug that allows you to enjoy the individuality of each village.
